Obituary of Barbara Anne McInally McInally, Barbara Anne (nee Mogg) On a beautiful spring day, April 27th, 2018, Barb passed away in a kind and gentle way. She was loved and will be deeply missed. Our Mum or Ma (which she hated but tolerated), was an amazing Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother and big Sister to brother Richard. Not to mention an incredible wife to our late Dad, John McInally. Who has been waiting patiently for her to arrive . . . they are together once again. Barb or Jill (as those across the pond refer to her) will be remembered for her kindness, her selflessness and her humour. It was her humour that carried her through those last few days as witnessed by her loved ones. Not appropriate to share the details here . . . but if you ask us we will tell you and . . . you will laugh! A dear friend of Barb’s spoke recently, of the parties, the dancing and the laughter that they all enjoyed together over the years. As her daughters, these are memories that we love to hear about. Babs, as her son-in-law Paul cheekily called her, was an independent woman. Her career began at the Royal Bank where believe it or not she was witness to an infamous bank robbery none other than the Boyd Gang. It was at the Royal Bank where she also met the love of her life, John. She continued in banking and made life time friends during her time at the TD Bank who were known to indulge in a fun girl’s night out. Nana, now this was her most cherished name, to Kyle, Jesse and Evan, was a proud Grandmother. She was so happy to be a part of these young men’s lives. She loved to catalogue their achievements as babies and young children. As they grew older she was always available to provide wisdom or encouragement. Grandmothers are able to listen and guide unlike any other. She was so proud of her boys! We all love you Mum, Ma, Barb, Jill, Babs, Nana and we will miss you! “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever” Winnie the Pooh. A special thank you to the dedicated and remarkable staff at Peterborough Regional Health Center who helped and supported during this time. In accordance with Mum’s wishes a private family celebration of life will be planned in the future. For those who wish to donate in Mum’s name her favourite charities were Habitat for Humanity and Red Cross.
