Obituary of Bernadette Rena Sharaput SHARAPUT, Bernadette Rena (Doyle) – BA English (U of T, St. Mike’s) Taught school in Toronto District School Board, retired in 1999. Passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Saturday, January 26, 2019. Bernadette of Buckhorn, formerly of Scarborough and Toronto, at 73 years of age. Beloved wife of Larry Sharaput for 47 years. Loving mother of Markus (Lee) of Halifax and Kathryn of Montreal. Dear Nana of Isaak and Isobel. Loving sister of Margaret Lacy (late Adrian), Bernard Doyle (Kay) and Kate Doyle. Bernadette will be remembered by many other relatives and friends. Bernadette enjoyed cooking, gardening, painting, water colours, crochet and knitting, and enjoying time by the water. She was a voracious reader and theatre goer. She had a beautiful voice and was known for spontaneously breaking into song. An excellent joke teller who had a wicked sense of humour and had a joke for any occasion. Bernadette volunteered for the Good Buy Room, the Lakefield Horticulture Society, and the Buckhorn Library Board. She helped as a substitute teacher with the Buckhorn Public School. Cremation entrusted to Community Alternative Funeral Home. A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
