Obituary of Betty Marlene Thain THAIN, Betty Marlene (Douglas) - Peacefully, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Sunday, July 16, 2017 in her 86th year. Betty, dearly beloved wife of Lynn Thain, and the late Harry Dunford and Herb Bryan. Dear mother of Patti Doleman (Dennis). Cherished grandmother of Cherie Trevelin and Duane Finley (Kim). Great grandmother of Joshua Trevelin, Victoria Finley and Autumn Finley. Loving step-mother to Deanna Wheeler-Thain (Dave), Debbie Thain (Eric), Cindy Rutledge (Brendan), Jamie Thain (Rose), Steve Thain, and Barb, Barry and Ron Bryan. Devoted Step-grandmother of many grandchildren. Betty is also the daughter of the late Lillian and James Douglas, and also predeceased by her sister baby Laverne Douglas. Betty retired from GE after 34 years of work. She loved to sew and made all her own clothes. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life for Betty will be held at the Royal Canadian Leagion Branch 52, 1550 Lansdowne Street West, Peterborough, on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 1 PM.
