Obituary of Blanche Litster WHATMAN - LITSTER: Blanche (Long time volunteer with both Civic Hospital and the Peterborough Art Gallery, former member of the Peterborough Horticultural Society) At her residence on Saturday, May 9, 2009. Blanche, late of Peterborough, in her 85th year. Beloved wife of Gordon Litster and the late Raymond Whatman. Dear mother of Beth (Dave Cockburn) of Young's Point, Ken Whatman (Doreen) and family of Nanaimo, B.C. Loving step-mother of Elaine (Tim Hunt) and family of Vancouver, B.C., and Mark Litster of Nanaimo, B.C. Loving grandmother of Amy McGrath, Amanda and Christy Cockburn. Great grandmother of Alexis and Taylor Stretten, and Austin Parnell. Sister of Josephine Barker, Margaret (Jack Lewis), both of Lindsay, and the late Cecil McKague, Jack McKague, Evelyn Lytle, Marjorie Downes, Joyce Hicks, and Morley McKague (Norma). Friends will be received at AUBURN BIBLE CHAPEL, 911 Armour Road North (north of Parkhill Rd.), from 7 - 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12th, and from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday. A funeral service will be held at the church on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Interment Rosemount Memorial Gardens.
