Obituary of Carol Jean Ellis Carol Jean Ellis of Peterborough, age 72 Carol Jean Ellis of Peterborough, age 72, passed away Monday January 1, 2018 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Beloved wife and high school sweetheart of R.Wayne Ellis married July 1968. Carol was a Baseball Mom of many, enjoyed gardening, swimming, and music. Carol had a lifelong dedication and commitment to supporting student learning and having the satisfaction in watching them succeed. Loving Mom of Michael (Heather) Ellis, Kathryn (Matt Woodward). Proud Nana of Haiden and Mason Woodward, Tenley and Rylen Ellis. Survived by Stepdad John O’Leary (WWII Veteran). Predeceased by her Parents Wes Dafoe and Theresa O’Leary. Sadly missed by her siblings (David Ellis d.2017), Judy Ellis, Randy (Debbie) Ellis, Gale Ellis, Carol Lynn (Dale) Houghton, Dale (Nancy) Ellis, and Tim, Denyse, and Judith O’Leary. Carol was a wonderful Aunt to many nieces and nephews and will be missed by many close friends and relatives. A Celebration of Life will be held at Ashburnham Funeral Home (840 Armour Road, Peterborough) in the Chapel on Saturday January 13th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.; visitation will be held one hour prior and reception to follow.
