Obituary of Catherine Emmett EMMETT, Catherine McCracken - (former employee with Sandy's, Family Fair, BiWay and Peterborough Square). At Springdale Country Manor on Sunday August 9, 2009. Catherine "Katie" (Mahon) in her 87th year. Wife of the late Albert "Harry" Emmett. Dear mother of Bob Emmett (Sylvia) of R.R. #5 Peterborough and Eileen (Bill Cole) of Truro, Nova Scotia. Loving grandmother of Jane (John Dykeman) of Millbrook, Jennifer (Kevin Thompson) of R.R. #5 Peterborough, Shannon Cole, William Cole both of Truro, Nova Scotia and great grandmother to Jacob Thompson and Mya Dykeman. Sister of .the late Robert Mahon and Rachel Brown. Sister-in-law to Lillian Mahon of Victoria, B.C. and Bob Brown of Peterborough. Katie will always be remembered as a hard worker, loving grandmother and great grandmother and a true lover of animals. Friends will be received at EDMISON HEIGHTS BIBLE CHAPEL, Hilliard St., from 10 - 11 a.m. on Friday August 14, 2009. A memorial service to celebrate Katie's life will then be held in the church on Friday at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception in the church hall.
