Obituary of Charles Henry Burton BURTON, Charles Henry “Harry” – Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 90 years of age. Beloved husband of Pat (nee Feeney), together in love for 73 years. Dear father of Stan, Tricia (Harold). Cherished “Gramps” of Melanie (Jeff), David, Phil (Rhiannon), Tara (Steve), and Kelly (Dan). Much loved Papa of Charlee, Cassidy, Cadence, Rylen, Charlotte, Annalise, Josh, Conner, Scarlet and Lilianna. Dear brother of John (Sue), Roy (Shirley), Carol (Ron), and the late Bill, Jean and Walter. Harry will be remembered by many other relatives and friends. Pat & Harry were proud owners and operators of C.H. Burton Roofing. “Happy Harry” loved meeting all his clients, while Pat ran the office and took care of the accounting work, started the company and helped it grow. His motto was “Do right by everyone and be honest in everything you do”. His work ethic led to him being a very respected man. A lifetime member of the Peterborough Golf & Country Club, where he loved to golf and curl. He loved to travel with Pat in his motorhome and spend winters in Hilton Head, SC and The Villages, FL. Interment at Rosemount Memorial Gardens, 2551 Whittington Drive, Peterborough, on Wednesday, October 30th at 3 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Peterborough Golf & Country Club, 1030 Armour Road, Peterborough, on Friday, November 22, from 1-3 pm.
