Obituary of Charles Alexander Campbell Campbell, Charles Alexander "Sandy" passed away suddenly in Dunedin, Florida on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Beloved husband and soulmate for 52 years to Susan (Agnew). Loving father of Jason (Corinna), Stuart (Donna) and Shauna (Chris Giles). Proud grandfather of Jacob, Faith and Luke. Dear brother of Susan (Bob Bowman), Paul (Elizabeth). Brother in law to Joan and Dick Berndt. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Born in Hamilton (1941) he spent his early years in Dundas, moving to Leaside and eventually Islington where he met Sue. He attended Etobicoke C.I., Thornton Hall and Ryerson. Sandy and Sue were married June 13, 1964 in Toronto where Sandy worked for The Bank of Nova Scotia. Later he joined Watson Metals. In 1969, he started his own business, Sandy Campbell Ltd. and Streetsville Glass and Mirror. In 1974 he fulfilled his dream of becoming a dairy farmer in Otonabee Township known as Castleton Farm. In 1978, he became a full time employee of McDonalds (Ron Campbell Enterprises) where he helped build the market to 8 locations. After 30 years with McDonald's he "semi-retired" to help run Tartan Embroidery with son Stuart. A Celebration of Life for Sandy will be held Saturday, April 22 at 1:30 pm at Ashburnham Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, April 21 from 4 – 8 pm at Ashburnham Funeral Home. An expression of sympathy may be made to PRHC Foundation, Peterborough Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
