Obituary of Dorothy Bowes BOWES, Dorothy "Jean" - Peacefully went to be with her Lord and Saviour in her 83rd year at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Friday June 27, 2014. Predeceased by her parents, Gideon (1989) and Lillian (1962) Brown, and her sisters, Margaret Brown (1937) and Betty Glenn (1999). Loving wife of Cecil Bowes in their 60th year of marriage. Loving and dearly loved mother of Esther (Ted McNutt), Heather (Rob Luxton) and Eric Bowes (Tami). She will be forever missed as a beloved & loving Grandma of Kirk Andrew (Cara), Krystal (Nick Gaspari) and Jade McNutt, and Brayden Bowes. The arrival of her great-grandson 6 weeks ago (Korban Robert Andrew) was a new joy. Jean was truly a great gift from God to us as a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and she considered her relatives and friends a great blessing in her life. Her faith in a mighty God and His word, and the love and grace of Jesus was her strength and her peace as she lived out her life. She was always in prayer for her loved ones & those who crossed her path. Friends will be received at the ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME, 840 Armour Road, in two weeks' time, on Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Jean's life will be held in the Ashburnham Chapel on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception in the Legacy Room.
