Obituary of Dorothy Martyn-Knox MARTYN-KNOX: Dorothy Diane Peacefully after a long illness, Diane, in her 72nd year, lost her brave battle at the Campbellford Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Knox. Loving mother of Chris (Phil), Greg, Mike, and Stephen Pearce. Step mother of Wendy Hartman (the late John), Patti Hewer (Gary), and Rick (Dale), Bob (Sue), Jim (Christine), Kathy, and the late Susan Knox. Dear sister-in-law of Yvonne (Terry) Martyn-McMahon. Dear aunt of Lori (Francesco), Nadine (Norm), and Brad Martyn. Sadly missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by parents Dorothy and Nathan, and by brother Bob Martyn. Diane worked in nursing in the Hamilton area in her early years. More recently, as a resident of the Stoney Lake area, she enjoyed playing the piano with the "Wednesday Nighters". She also played in nursing homes and at community special events. A Celebration of Diane's Life (followed by a Jam Session) will be held at the Lakefield Legion, 10 Nichols Street, Lakefield, on Thursday, December 11th at 3 p.m. Bring your instruments!
