Obituary of Eber Donia Donia: Bert Eber Suddenly at home after a day of gardening my cherished, adored and beloved husband Bert closed his eyes forever. He was a kind, honest and loving man, a man of his word. A wonderful husband for almost 20 years to Gisela. A proud father to Mike (Kylie), Jacqueline, Richard (Maria), and the late Lisa (d. 2004). Also he was loved by Gisela's children: Mary Lou, Charles, and Jason (Melanie) Ball. His grandchildren Lauren, Riley, the late Perry (d. 2015), Mackenzie, Zachary, David, Nixon, Oliver, and Reese gave him great joy and he had a special place in his heart for all of them. Also left to mourn him are his siblings: Pieter (Helen), Casey (Janet), Jane (Jim) Vlaar, and Ron (Gaby), along with their families. Friends may call at ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME, 840 Armour Road from 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 17th for a celebration of Bert's Life to be held in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Reception to follow. Inurnment will take place at Apsley Union United Cemetery at a later date.
