Obituary of Gerald Preston PRESTON, GERALD WAYNE- Passed peacefully, at home on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, in his 71st year. Loving husband and best friend of the late Elizabeth for 30 years. Amazing Dad and friend to Brenda (Kirk) Hillier, Bev (Rod) Aubin and Rob Millar (Shauna). Hands on, devoted and fun loving Poppy to Allie and Stephanie Hillier and Lauren and Brendan Aubin. Also father of Rick, Barb Bell, John, Terry and grandfather of 7. Gerry will be missed by several brothers and sisters in law, especially Deb and Paul Downey. Gerry served his county in the armed forces as a young man and worked as a policeman, fireman and fire inspector. Gerry was an avid bridge player, baseball fan, and although he loved the game, he refused to watch hockey after the last strike. He'll be missed by all his friends and neighbours, and his furry boys Buddy and Max. At Gerry's request, cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held at a later date.
