Obituary of Helen Dasko DASKO, Helen (Nee Yascheshyn) On Friday, June 8, 2018, in Peterborough, Ontario, Helen Dasko passed away at the age of 90. She was born October 10, 1927 in Melrose, Manitoba. Helen is survived by her loving husband William (Bill), daughters Donna and Tricia (Howard), grandchildren Marion & William Dasko Adams, sister Violet Kerde of Winnipeg, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Regina (Agnes) and John Yascheshyn, brothers Frank, Casey & Johnny Yascheshyn and sisters Jean Sawicki, Kay Kazina and Emily Jackson. Many thanks to Dr. A. Silverberg and the staff at St. Joseph at Fleming Long Term Care for their kindness and care during Helen's last years. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses for almost 50 years, she enjoyed sharing with others the Bible's promise that God's Kingdom will soon bring peaceful and paradise conditions to the earth, when God will 'wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away'. Rev 21:4 Cremation has taken place.
