Obituary of Helen McAneney McANENEY: Helen May - Peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, in her 92nd year. Helen, dearly beloved wife of the late John H. (d. 1958). Loving mother of Mary Ellen (John) Oke, Thomas, and Ann (John) Mossop. Beloved Grandma of Micheal (Julie) Oke, Jennifer (Bill) Harrington, Suzanne (Scott) Whynot, and Christopher (Laura) Lewis. Sadly missed by her 8 great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Fred Smith. Helen retired from the Durham Region Roman Catholic Separate School Board in 1984. Friends may call at COMMUNITY ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 83 Hunter Street West, Peterborough, on Sunday, January 30th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Sunday at 4 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Peter-in-Chains Cathedral, 411 Reid Street (at Hunter) on Monday January 31st at 10 a.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Toronto at a later date.
