Obituary of Iris Frise FRISE (Scott): Iris Y. (nee Harby) Iris passed quickly and peacefully of a stroke at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Thursday, June 10, 2010. Predeceased by husbands Donald Scott (1988) and Bob Frise (2009). Loving mother of Andrea Waldie (and husband Craig) and Geoff Scott (and wife Heather). Adored Nana of Alexander, Benjamin, Evan, Rachel and Emma. "Mother" and "Grandma" to Bob's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Committed and caring member of the Murray Street Baptist Church family in Peterborough, Ontario. Iris provided the foundation for thousands of academic careers as a kindergarten teacher at Wilkinson Avenue and Brookbanks Public Schools in Toronto. She participated with enthusiasm on numerous school and church committees. Iris gave freely of her care and energy to anyone who needed it. Clearwater Beach became a winter home for the last 30 years, with many close friendships formed. Iris remained close to her extended family at Donway Baptist Church. Great fun was enjoyed with the Ragtime Society, Peterborough Red Hat Society and the Murray Street 55 Plus group. Friends will be received at MURRAY STREET BAPTIST CHURCH, 175 Murray Street, Peterborough on Tuesday, June 15 from 12:30 -2:00 p.m. A memorial service will then take place in the church at 2:00 p.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Princess Margaret Hospital and Toronto Hospital for Sick Children would be appreciated and may be made at www.CommunityAlternative.ca or by calling COMMUNITY ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL HOME at 705-742-1875.
