Obituary of John James Blackman BLACKMAN: John James "Jack" Peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre – Palliative Care Unit on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at the age of 86. Jack, dearly beloved husband of the late Doreen, and dear father of Teuta. Dear grandfather of Ashley Dunford. Dear brother of Regina Reid and uncle of Phil and Leasa. Jack will be sadly missed by dear friends Elmer and Thelma. An inurnment service will be held at St. John's Cemetery – Ida on Wednesday, September 27th at 1 p.m. If desired, donations to the PRHC Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated. Directions to the service may be found at www.CommunityAlternative.ca or by calling 705-742-1875. Special thanks to Dr. Whiting and the Palliative Care Team, Dr. Ragaz, and Dr. Zalewski and the Cancer Care Team for their excellent care.
