Obituary of John FOOTE FOOTE, Dr. John Edgar Frederick Peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Saturday, March 8, 2008 surrounded by the embracing love of his family. John, late of Peterborough and Pine Holme Island, Stoney Lake, was the dearest husband of Dureen Clare for 54 years. He is survived by his loving daughters Martha of Toronto and Melinda of Burlington and by his pussycat Annabel to whom he was devoted. He is also survived by many cousins from Canada and the United States who will be attending his service. John was a dedicated member of the board of directors of the Peterborough Humane Society, a former Rotarian and a past president of the Peterborough Progressive Conservative riding association. A service of thanksgiving for his life will be held on Wednesday, March 12 at 2 p.m. in his home parish of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Hunter Street West (east of Water Street) in Peterborough, Ontario. John was the fourth generation of his family to worship at St. John's. To reflect John's great love of animals the family asks you to consider a memorial gift in his name to the Peterborough Humane Society.
