Obituary of John Clifford Hornagold HORNAGOLD, John Clifford Passed away after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. John of Peterborough, formerly of Sarnia and Norwich England, was 78 years of age. Beloved husband of Dusanka (Nikolic) for 51 years. Loving father of James (Kelly) and Louise (Michael Vautour), Dear “Grandan” of Miles. Son of the late Walter and Margaret Hornagold. John will be remembered by many friends and relatives in Macedonia, Serbia and England. A retired Electrical Engineer. John was a voracious reader and intellectual. He enjoyed building things and always had a project on the go. He has always been a passionate listener of music, especially Classical and Jazz. Past President of the Lambton Outdoor Club, John thoroughly enjoyed cycling, hiking, and taking trips with Dusanka. John also loved a good evening spent in the company of friends, playing cards and enjoying good food, wine, and conversation. A brilliant and worldly man, John will be missed by all those who loved his fierce wit and dry sense of humour. Cremation entrusted to Community Alternative Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date. Details will be posted. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the David Suzuki Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
