Obituary of Joyce Eleanor May Burke BURKE, Joyce (nee Sloan) – Passed away peacefully, on Sunday January 13, 2019 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, with her family at her side. Joyce of Peterborough, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of Gordon for almost 70 years. Loving mother of Vicki (Alan Boase), Paul (Glenna), and John (Sandy). Dear grandmother of Jeff (Miki), Brian (Susan), Sara (Scott), Laura (Darren), Amanda (Ryan), Ryan and Evan (Allie). Great grandmother of Nika, Keo, Claire, Gabrielle, Jack, Oliver, Chloe, Lily and Luke. Dear sister of Iris Milling and James Sloan. Joyce will be remembered by many other relatives and friends. A faithful member of Murray Street Baptist Church, Joyce served as hostess with the ladies group, coordinator of the Heart to Heart Bible Study, and was active with the Social Committee for many years. Also a long-time volunteer with PRHC. Joyce will be remembered for providing a loving family environment and her devotion to her family. A Memorial Service will be held at Murray Street Baptist Church (175 Murray Street) on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 11 am, with visiting one hour prior, from 10-11 am.
