Obituary of Karen Maxine Payne PAYNE, Karen Maxine – Of Hiawatha First Nation, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, in her 61st year. Karen, loving daughter of the late James Payne and Frances Josephine Cowie, and step-daughter of Wilfred O'Carroll. Cherished sister of Wanda (Mike Mackay) McGonigle, Barry (Magdelana) Payne, and Craig (Alysha) Payne. Devoted aunt to Mandy McGonigle, Kimberley McGonigle, Madisson Payne, Joshua Payne, and Faith Payne. Great aunt of Grayson Conroy. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Karen's life will be held at a later date. Karen loved her animals, and donations in her memory to the Peterborough Humane Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
