Obituary of Kenneth Laton LATON, Kenneth Charles "Ken" - Retired from the OPP after serving 32 years. Peacefully, with his family at his side, on Sunday, May 24, 2015. Ken of Peterborough, in his 77th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Elizabeth "Betty" (Cranley) for 53 years. Dear father of Patrick (Margaret), and Carolyn Challice (Stephen). Loving grandfather of Brittany, Jaimie and Robbie Laton and Caitlin and Amber Challice. Son of the late Albert Laton and Annie (Hulsmans). Brother of Patricia Kidd (Malcolm), Carolyn Halley (John), Frank Laton (late Linda), Sharon Werner (Lee), Larry Laton (Lynda), Gary Laton (late Mary Catherine), Bonnie Albright (Vic), Michael Laton (Joanne) and the late Laurent Laton (surviving wife Helen). Brother-in-law of Jim Cranley (Lilly), Frank Cranley (Diane), and Arlene Innes (Dave). Ken will be remembered by many other nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors where he served in Haliburton, Newcastle and Peterborough. Ken was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting and camping. Visiting will be held at the ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME & RECEPTION CENTRE, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough, on Wednesday, May 27, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at the CATHEDRAL OF ST. PETER-IN-CHAINS, 411 Reid Street, Peterborough, on Thursday, May 28, at 10:30 am.
