Obituary of Lauri Lynn Overby ~~Overby: Lauri Lynn (nee: Daynes), Peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, after a brief illness in her 55th year. Lauri leaves behind an endless number of people who loved her dearly. Beloved Princess, best friend, and wife to Branson. Amazing mother to Jamie (Julia), and David Bragg. Stepmom to Rachel (Justin) Bingham, and Kenneth Wells. Special “adopted mom” to Serena, and “Nana” to Eirena, Patrick, and Rylee. Loving daughter of Shirley Jones (Bob) and the late Robert Daynes. Cherished sister to Bernie (Donna), Bonnie (John) LeClair, Scott, Kim (Kevin) Cranley, and Bobbi (Kevin) Lax, Kassie, and Karlie Daynes. Niece to Linda (Bill) Hawks, Donna (Gerri) Hopcroft, Al (Wendy) Daynes, and Linda (Arnie) Amyotte. She will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Lauri was the proud owner of Satin Scissors Hair Salon, and a hairdresser in the community for over 30 years. She was famous for her love of a good roast beef dinner, a boisterous laugh, a freezer full of Kawartha Dairy ice cream, and an undying love for her boys. She taught us so much in her too short time on Earth, with the exception of how to go on without her. She will forever be in our memory, as we look back and laugh and remember all the amazing moments she gave us. Friends and clients will be received at ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough, from 7 – 9 p.m. on Friday, September 8th, and from 12 - 1 p.m. on Saturday. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Saturday at 1 p.m. Reception to follow. Cremation followed by inurnment at Little Lake Cemetery at a later date.
