Obituary of Leslie William Clapham CLAPHAM, Leslie William - Peacefully, surrounded with the love of his family, at Centennial Place, Millbrook, on Thursday, January 25, 2018. Leslie of Peterborough, formerly of Ottawa, Hudson, and Montreal, in his 91st year. Son of the late William and Sonja . Devoted Husband of Jessie Margaret “Peggy” (d. 2016) for 69 years. Loving father of Margie (Peter Séguin), Michael (Patty), Sonja “Sonny” (Des Galloway), Tim (Anne), Jessica (Rick Gaylor), Tony (Denise), and Jonathan. Cherished grandfather of Carl, Martin, Patrick, Sean, Erin, Catherine, Melissa, Amy, Evan, Abigayle, Lindsay, Peter, Tommy, Jamie, Daniel, Madeleine, Kai and Noah. Proud great-grandfather of 24 + 1. Brother of the late John (Arlene) and Eric. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and cousins. Les enjoyed nothing more than spending time with Peggy and the family at their beloved cottage on Stoney Lake. He was known for his ability to build and fix anything, with never ending enthusiasm for all his "cottage projects". Les will be remembered for his humour, warm hospitality and his unconditional love and support. A memorial service will be held at the ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME, 840 Armour Rd. on Saturday, February 3rd, at 2 p.m., with visiting one hour prior (1-2 p.m.).
