Leslie Robert Norridge

Obituary of Leslie Robert Norridge Leslie Robert Norridge (Harbour Master at Port Credit Harbour Marina, ex RCN – HMCS Bonaventure) Passed away suddenly on August 31, 2019 in Port Credit Ontario at the age of 76. Son of the late Agnes and Reginald (Tim) Norridge of Belleville. Much loved brother of Joan Spafford (late Bill) of North Bay and Doris Maki (late Richard) of Peterborough. Fondly remembered by nieces Susan Foster (Rick) of North Bay, Nancy Cummings (David) of Kanata, Wendy Bridge (Doug) of Campbellford and Debbie Maki (Norm) of Peterborough and his great nieces and nephews. Les will be sorely missed by his many co-workers, friends and acquaintances who were important fixtures in his life. Les was a private man with a gentle twinkle in his eye that offset his occasional curmudgeonly manner. He had a dry sense of humour, a reputation as a Mr. Fix-it, and willingly shared his skills and knowledge of marina life. He was an animal lover who provided a home to many rescued dogs and cats over the years. Salem the “shop cat” will miss his daily presence. Cremation has taken place and plans are being made for an opportunity for friends and family to gather in October in Port Credit to share memories and raise a glass in honour of Les. Memorial donations may be made to your local Humane Society or Able Sail Toronto. Les you will be missed … fair winds and following seas.
