Linda Joy Fleming Obituary

Obituary of Linda Joy Fleming FLEMING, Linda Joy - passed away very suddenly on June 9, 2018 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre at the age of 68 with her husband and family by her side. She is survived by her loving husband Robert (Bob) J. Fleming of almost 40 years. She will be greatly missed by her Millett siblings: Max (Theresa), Mervin (Bev), Gordon (Lorraine), Roy (Marilyn), Shirley Bierworth, George (Janice), Eva Ferguson, Barrie, Jim (Elly) Thistlethwaite, and Carl (Rose). She was predeceased by her parents George William and Janet Elizabeth Millett of Norwood and by her sisters and brothers: Eileen Belbeck Ransom, Arnold, Doreen, and Vernon. Linda will also be greatly missed by her Fleming family: Carole (Ray) Schoenstein, Ken (Diane), Tom (Dorothy), Steve (Sue), and Chris (Joan); her stepchildren Greg and Jeff, and by many nieces and nephews. She was the switchboard operator at the County Court House and a Court Stenographer in both the Provincial Family and Criminal Courts. She had a great love of the game of golf and made many friends at the Tamarac Golf & Country Club and also at the other local golf courses as well as many other places in Ontario and in Cochran, Georgia. Linda will be cremated and A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 14th from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Ashburnham Funeral Home with Words of Remembrance at 3:00 p.m. If desired, donations may be made St. Anne's Church or Leukemia & Lymphoma Foundation of Canada or the Charity of your choice.
