Obituary of Margo Taylor Ward WARD, Margo Taylor "Tay", "Wardy" or "Toast" - Lifetime resident of Keene. Brock University, Kinesiology Student. Grad of TAS. Member of the Gold Medal Winning, U-18 Ontario Rugby Team. Member of the Keene Wolverine Hockey Team. - Peacefully, after a courageous fight with Leukemia, with her family at her side, on Saturday, Sept 7, 2013, in her 21st year. "Tay" was the beloved daughter of Bill & Michelle Ward. Loved grand-daughter of Ray & Janice Ward, and Janet Scriver (late Paul Scriver). Beloved Great grand-daughter of Kathleen Ward (late Ken) and Ray Flanagan (late Pearl). Niece of Linda Albert (Zoran), Connie Withers, and Kim Kelcey (Bill). She will also be remembered by many other relatives and friends. Tay was a passionate Rugby player for TAS, the Peterborough Pagans, and most recently Brock University. She was invited to play in the Ontario Summer Games (in Sudbury), with the Ontario U-18 Team (in Alberta), and with Ashbury College in Ottawa, where she toured France and Switzerland. A Memorial Service will be held at the Keene United Church, 30 North Street, Keene, on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 11:30 am. Reverend Nancy Wilson officiating. A catered Celebration of Taylor's life will follow at the Keene Arena, Fourth Street, Keene, on Thursday, September 12, at 1 pm. Team mates are encouraged to wear their team jerseys, sweat pants or hoodies. In memory of Taylor, a scholarship fund for a future TAS athlete will be set up. Details to be posted on the Community Alternative web-site, www.CommunityAlternative.ca, or by calling 705-740-0444. Donations to Canadian Blood Services or donations of blood in memory of Taylor, would be appreciated by the family.
