Obituary of Marilyn Atkins ATKINS, Marilyn Ann (nee Berry) - Peacefully at home in Buckhorn at the age of 69. Marilyn, cherished wife of John, and loving daughter of Mary Berry and the late Reginald Berry. Devoted mother to Jennifer Atkins, and Trevor (Marie) Atkins, all of Peterborough. Loving sister of Robert (Terri) Berry in Trenton, and their daughter Amy. Marilyn is predeceased by her sister Brenda (Kenneth) Boyd. She will also be remembered by her loving cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law in England, and by her many friends. On June 3, 1994, Marilyn achieved her Bachelor of Education from Queens University. She also made great contributions to the community as an advocate for people with autism, and her generosity and tireless devotion to this cause touched the lives of many families. Friends will be received at the ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME, 840 Armour Road, from 1-3 PM on Thursday, November 5, 2015. A memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation at 3 PM with a reception to follow.
