Obituary of Marjorie Jean Bagshaw Bagshaw, Marjorie (Marge) Jean – Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s at Fleming on November 6, 2018 in Peterborough, Ontario at the age of 94. Beloved wife of Gordon Bagshaw (predeceased). Marge was born in North Bay, daughter of the Reverend Gabriel Joseph Gattie and Helena Gattie. Sister of Melvin (Mel) Gattie (predeceased). Her family was the center of her life. She leaves her sons Rick (Judy), John (Michelle) and her beloved grandchildren Ryan, Nicole, Brittany, Miranda and dear great grandsons Jake and Owen. To know Marge was to love and respect her for the deep passion she had for people and for her work ethic. Her many friends came from running restaurants in both Toronto and the Kawartha’s, working at the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority (Junior Rangers Program), Johnson & Johnson and the Royal Canadian Legion. She loved to dance and was always up for a new experience, party or a good joke. With her typical adventurous fashion, at the lake, she decided to go tubing on her 80th birthday. Her passing has left us saddened. Marge will always be remembered by her brothers and sisters in-law, nephews, nieces and extended family. However, the bright light that was Marge lives on in our hearts and we all have many happy memories to keep that light burning. She is with Gabriel now. We invite friends and family to join us for a Celebration of her Life at the Peterborough Lions Community Centre, 347 Burnham Street on Saturday, December 15th from 1 – 5 PM.
