Obituary of Matthew Krabbe KRABBE: Matthew Edward "Ted" (partner in Caryl's Place) Ted ended his 2 year battle with cancer at P.R.H.C. on Tuesday, February 9th, 2010. A fighter to the end, Ted (born March 14/46) leaves behind his beloved partner, Caryl Amyotte and his best friend, Bill Poole. Loving father of Matt, Alice, Corinna and Nancy. Dear stepfather of April Jocko, Maureen & Peggy Amyotte. Remembered by his good friends Katherine Jocko-Krabbe and Nancy Krabbe. Son of Herman Krabbe & Hendrika Holtrust (both predeceased), Ted is survived by 9 brothers & sisters: Ben (Ria), Alice Kraak, Harmina Dass (Harold), John (Beth), Marie Black (Keith), Trudy Kemsley (Bruce), Margaret Parcells (Glenn), Henrietta Simmons (Don) and Harry (Michele). Grandfather of 4 whom he never met. Proud grandfather of 4 step-grandchildren. Ted was also survived by many nieces & nephews. Ted lived life to the fullest, making many mistakes along the way but always overcoming them and moving ahead. That carried through with his battle with cancer also. He will always be remembered as feisty, benevolent, and caring. Due to Ted's wishes, there will be no service. A memorial will be arranged later in the spring.
