Obituary of Melanie Lynne Clancy Melanie Clancy passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Tuesday August 7th, 2018 in her 51st year. Melanie was a very proud and loving mother to Tyler, Cody (Megan) and Michaela (Adam) as well as beloved daughter of Mary Peltz. Predeceased by her father William Peltz and her brother Michael Peltz. Melanie was a long time volunteer in the Peterborough hockey association with over 20 years of service. She dedicated most of her years in the PHA as Tournament director and Timekeeper coordinator to make a difference for the youth within the hockey community. Sadly she was taken from us far too soon after a very courageous and hard- fought battle with cancer over the past 22 months.Melanie was the most loving and caring individual who always put others before herself. Her positive outlook on life and exuberant sense of humour never stopped shining until she took her last breath. Visitation will be held on Friday September 7th at 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Living Hope Christian Reformed Church. The Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 8th at 12pm (noon) at Living Hope Christian Reformed Church, 1 Consumers Place, Peterborough ON, K9L 0C5 It was Melanie’s wish to have any donations go to her son Cody’s annual 250km Ride to Conquer Cancer benefitting Princess Margaret Cancer Research Centre.
