Obituary of Nita May Butler Butler, Nita May – Passed away with her family by her side on Friday, May 5th 2017, at Pleasant Meadow Manor in Norwood, ON, Nita May (Pike) Butler at the age of 87 years. Predeceased by her husband of 64 years Roy C. Butler and parents Capt. Willis T. Pike and Hyacinth Mollie (Samson) Pike of Port Union, NL. Loving mother of David and his wife Charlene, Pamela and her husband Al Cheeseman. Cherished grandmother of Michael Harris, Lisa Butler, David Butler Jr. and great grandmother of Riley Whelan. Beloved sister of Elsie Blackwood and Linda Dunn (Ray), sister-in-law of Eric Miller (Barb) and Ron Miller (Eileen). She will be lovingly remembered by many other relatives and friends. A Funeral Service for Nita May Butler will be held at the Church of Holy Martyr's, Port Union, NL on Saturday, July 15 at 2 pm. Internment to follow at the Catalina Anglican Cemetery. There will be a Reception/Celebration of Life at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 16, Catalina following internment ceremony. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Alzheimer's Society.
