Paul Bellehumeur

Obituary of Paul Bellehumeur PAUL EDMUND BELLEHUMEUR (June 18, 1943 – May 12, 2020) On Tuesday, May 12th, our beloved husband and father left this realm for the next. Paul spent his career as a high school teacher and coach in Ajax, but his real love was his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife Diana (Stockton) for 47 fabulous years. Together they raised three awesome kids, Christine (Paul), Katy (Craig) and Michael (Kat). Paul also had a special place in his heart for Rachel's mom Marose. He loved watching them grow up and was so proud of their accomplishments. Later, when they had children of their own, he was the best grandfather (Pépère) to Maxwell and Madelyn Peters, Abby and Archie Ordanis and Rachel and Matthew Bellehumeur. He was always active with the kids, teaching them and providing them with many treasured memories. Di and Paul lived most of their marriage in Ajax, Ontario and enjoyed many great friendships there. They moved just a few years ago to Peterborough to be closer to their grandchildren. Paul worked very hard in both places to help Di create beautiful homes where family and friends were always welcomed. They travelled to many places together and had many adventures that he documented through photographs. He always had a camera ready and the family has a treasure trove of pictures to remember all the good times. He loved reading history books, tracing his family tree, collecting and organizing family photos, and was proud of his French-Canadian roots. In addition to Diana, their children and grandchildren, Paul leaves behind 3 sisters, Louise, Claire (Tom) and Cecile (Keith) and their families, brother in law Chris and his wife Donna, brother in law Stephen, sister in law Beth and her husband Tom and many adored nieces and nephews and treasured cousins. Well done, good and faithful servant. Until we meet again. Cremation has taken place. Celebration of life to be held in the future in Ajax and Peterborough. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to: Hospice Peterborough (https://www.hospicepeterborough.org/).
