Rena Evelyne Watt Obituary

Obituary of Rena Evelyne Watt Watt, Rena Evelyne (nee Percy) Died peacefully at St. Josephs at Fleming on September 11th in her 90th year. Beloved wife of Reman (predeceased 1984). Loving mother of Donald (predeceased 1993) (Shirley) and Bob Tyson, Darrell (Kathy) of Thunder Bay, Randy (Darlene) of Ajax and Heather Whitehouse (David) of Peterborough. Cherished Grandma to Derek (Christy), Laura (Lee), Sarah (Matt), Kaytie (Bobby), Connor, Emma (Hart), Hannah and four great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all of us who loved her. Often referred to as “Grandma Rena”, she was ever present in the neighbourhood and happily played the role of Grandma to many. Rena resided in several cities in her lifetime that she called home (Sudbury, Thunder Bay, Montreal, Kingston, Lanark Village) before she settled in Peterborough in 1992. She was a long-time member of Westdale United Church, treasured her long walks and loved all music, whether singing or listening. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Rena will be interned at Hopetown Cemetery, in Lanark County, alongside her husband and son. In honour of Rena, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society and Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. The family would also like to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s at Fleming for their kindness and care. Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near – still loved, still missed and very dear. Miss You Already!!
