Obituary of Rita Nora O'Dell O'Dell, Rita Nora (Stilffler) – Passed away peacefully at Rubidge Retirement Residence, Peterborough, on Thursday, August 10, 2017. Rita, of Peterborough, formerly of Pidgeon Lake, Toronto and Emmishofen, Switzerland in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Alvin C. O'Dell for 62 years. Loving mother of Alan, Douglas (Cheryl), David (Dominique), and Marilyn Kosticin (Paul). Dear grandmother of Darren, Mark, Lisa, Shawn, David, Daniel, Kristy and Cassie. Proud great grandmother of many. Sister of the late Ula LeBer (late Charles). Rita will be remembered by many relatives and friends all across Ontario. A home maker and full time mother, Rita loved to bake, knit and take care of her family. She was famous for her lemon pies and butter tarts. Rita was also very fond of cats and would often take in a stray. Rita and Alvin enjoyed many summers at the cottage on Pidgeon Lake and winters in Florida. Cremation has been entrusted to Community Alternative Funeral Home. Donations in memory of Rita can be made to Hospice Peterborough.
