Obituary of Robert Barrie Archibald ARCHIBALD, Robert Barrie "Bob" It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of Bob at P.R.H.C on Thursday, June 6, 2019 after a short illness in his 73rd year. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Wendy (Rutter) and predeceased by his father Jack and mother Patricia (McCarrell). Bob was a loving and proud father of Joshua (Nicole) and Scott (Natalie). Dear Grampa of Corbin (Joshua and Nicole) and Benjamin (Scott and Natalie). Bob will be sadly missed by big brother Doug (Janet) and little sister Shelley Howran. Fondly remembered by many nephews and nieces. Bob was well known and respected as an elementary school teacher in Omemee, Ontario for 34 years. He also was a reputable drummer playing in many bands including Geoff & the Continentals in his youth and Main Street in later years. He dearly loved cottage life on both Chemong and Clear Lakes. In the winters he loved to ski and spend time with his sons at their hockey games. The past 10 winters were spent in Florida on Hutchinson Island where he would spend many a day at the ocean with his wife and friends. Bob was so very proud of his sons and now he will watch from above with pride, his beloved grandsons Corbin and Ben. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough, Ontario. A private family burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the P.R.H.C. would be appreciated by the family.
