Obituary of Robert Frise FRISE: Robert (Bob) Fielding It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert (Bob) Fielding Frise on Monday, July 20th, 2009, after a 17 year battle with prostate cancer. Predeceased by his wife Pauline in 1978, he leaves his beloved wife, Iris; his loving children Nancy Spencer (Grant), Stephen Frise (Carolyn), Wendy Houle (Greg), Jennifer Sharp (Dave); his extended family Andrea Waldie (Craig), Geoff Scott (Heather); brother, Paul Frise (Edna); and his cherished grandchildren, Derek, Alanna, Shannon, Tyler, Hayley and Braden. Grandfather to Sarah, Alexander, Evan, Benjamin, Rachel and Emma. Beloved uncle and cousin to so many. Passing away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre in his 81st year, he led a full life. A lifelong resident of Peterborough, he was a devoted member of Murray St. Baptist Church, serving on numerous boards and contributing in so many ways, over many years. He began his career as a carpenter in construction. He went on to achieve his teaching certificate in mid-life, teaching for the remainder of his career in various locations including: the Peterborough Board of Education, Durham Board at Vanier Collegiate and Harwood Secondary School and later in life teaching night school. Other accomplishments included 27 years as a Scout leader, the coaching of Murray St. Junior Hockey, President for a year of Scotts Plains Kiwanis, and volunteer service in a wide variety of areas. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held one and a half hours before the Memorial Service which will be held on Friday, July 24th, at 2 p.m. at Murray St. Baptist Church, 175 Murray Street, Peterborough , Ontario K9H 2S7 (tel: 705-745-4376).
