Obituary of Robert Lars Land Bob (Robert Lars) Land - Nov. 23, 1936 - Oct. 7, 2018 Bob died peacefully Thanksgiving Sunday morning at home in Lakefield, after dealing with a major stroke and a brief battle with cancer. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Pauline Wingle-Land and his dear children, Robb Land (Roberta), Tina Land-Bryson (Jim), Susan Land (Tony Deluca, d-2012), and Maura Wingle-Land (Josh Kraan); his grandchildren Chris and Jon Land, Maggie and Jack Bryson, and Anna, Macy and Leo Deluca; and his niece and nephew, Vanessa and Dan Annand and their children in Australia. He is predeceased by his parents, Herb and Norma Land (Montreal); his sister, Ann Land (Fremantle, Australia); and his son-in-law, Tony Deluca (Toronto). Bob will be remembered as a wonderful husband and father; an outstanding teacher and mentor; a superb athlete, an ardent environmentalist, an animal-whisperer and a caring humanitarian. A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held on Saturday, October 27th at the Lakefield united Church, 47 Regent Street, Lakefield from 2:30-5:00 p.m. "Ni bheidh a leitheid ann aris...There will never be his likes again."
