Obituary of Robert Edward Penwell PENWELL, Robert (Bob) Edward (1949-2017) - After a lengthy battle with cancer, passed away peacefully with his family by his side June 6th, 2017 at Peterborough Regional Health Center. Pre-deceased by his father, Robert Penwell of Grand Bank, Nfld. and his mother Susan Penwell (nee Wagg) of Burin, Nfld. Bob will be sadly missed by his loving family - wife Heather, son Stephen (Cassandra), daughter Laura (Lee) Sister Norma Ross and niece Brenda Flood, and cherished granddaughter Keira (the light of his life). Bob was an exceptional field forester (RPF) with the Ministry of Natural Resources (ret.) and continued management of the Ganaraska forest with Ganaraska Conservation (ret.). Over 40 years he saw full cycle, from seedling to harvest, in the "Ganny"- a special place in his heart. He will be missed by former co-workers from both MNR and GRCA. Bob will be remembered by many friends at Balsam Lake and his neighbours from Peterborough. Special thanks to PRHC Doctors Shim and Whiting and the wonderful, caring nurses in Cancer Care Unit and Palliative Care Unit. You made a difference.
