Obituary of Robert Reid REID: Robert "Bob" Edward Peacefully on Friday, January 1, 2010, after a brief illness at the Fairhaven Home, Peterborough. Born 1935 in Toronto where he worked in landscaping and building maintenance most of his life. Bob in his spare time was an avid rock hound who enjoyed nothing more than scouting the Ontario wilderness for specimens. He was an active member of Don Mills United Church for many years where he sang in the choir. After retiring to Peterborough he became a member of George Street United Church and was active in the city's Historical Society and Lion's Club. Predeceased 1936 by father Robert George Reid and 1988 by mother Suzanne Randall Reid, Bob is remembered affectionately by sister Nancy Reid Ossenberg (Kingston), brother Don (Brampton), cousin Beverly Randall Ralston and her husband Ian (Peterborough) and their family; nephews Timothy Reid and Fred Ossenberg, and nieces Sandra Reid Dalziel and Linda Reid Henderson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 20, at 11:00 a.m. at GEORGE STREET UNITED CHURCH, 534 George Street, Peterborough.
