Over the past 75 years Robert resided in many locations but most notably Campbellford, Keene, Frankford, Maryland, White Lake, Carleton Place, Ottawa, and Toronto. Beloved father of his son Gene and daughter Susanne (Colin) and grandfather to Hilary and Reed. Dear brother of Brian (Lynn), Keith (Laurie) and Chris (Heather), loving uncle of nephews Andrew, Taylor, and nieces Leah Lindsay, and Kimberly. Robert will be remembered by many other friends and relatives, including his long-time friend and caregiver Jim Connor, John and Molly Sorenson, Dan and Jean Lucas and Lana Taylor. A special hug for their exceptional care goes out to the Community Care staff and volunteers, the St. Elizabeth care workers and doctors Glenn Griffin, Michael Weir and Kelly Parks. After graduating in interior design from the Ontario College of Art, Robert worked on many projects as a corporate graphic designer and a consultant of architectural environment design for various consulting firms as well as companies such as IBM, Bell and Mitel. It was later in life Bob found his passion in antiques and historical restoration. An avid reader, Robert always had his nose in a book. He loved to ski during the winter and was often found taking a canoe or fishing adventure during the summer. Robert loved the atmosphere of an auction and was often found at one somewhere in Eastern Ontario looking for that one special piece to add to his collection. Cremation entrusted to Community Alternative Funeral Home, Peterborough Ontario Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Bridge Hospice in Warkworth Ontario would be appreciated. Celebration of life to be conducted at a later date.
