Obituary of Roger Gerald Westlake WESTLAKE, Roger Gerald - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the PRHC on Saturday December 17th, 2016, in his 69th year. Roger married his beloved wife Teresa (nee Heffernan) in 1971 and lovingly raised 5 children in Douro. He will be deeply missed by his sons Chris (Kelly), Mark (Rebecca), Paul (Carolyn), Steve (Debby) and Michael. He was a loving Grampa to Nolan, Joshua, Carson, Cameron, Lili, Braeden, Samantha, Madison, Carter and Lucas. Son of the late Gerald and Dorothy Westlake, and the beloved brother of Nancy (Pete) Ellis and the late Carolyn Hamilton. Son in law of the late Frank and Kathleen Heffernan. Roger (“Rog”) will also be missed by his extended family and friends. He was a long time employee cf Canada Post and a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Joseph’s Parish Council. Visitation will take place at the Ashburnham Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 840 Armour Rd., Peterborough, on Wednesday, December 21st from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Douro, on Thursday, December 22nd at 11am. Interment St. Joseph’s, Douro. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the wonderful staff at PRHC (Palliative Care Unit) and St. Catherine’s Home Care.
