Obituary of Rosanna Canesso CANESSO, Rosanna Antonetta? (nee Rossanese) Passed away peacefully in her home with her loving son and daughter-in-law by her side, on Sunday, May 10th, 2020, at the age of 91. She was born in Castelfranco, Veneto Italy. She was the loving wife of her one and only love of 47 years, the late Pietro Canesso of Galliera, Veneta Italy, devoted mother to Stefano Canesso (Bonnie). She is survived by her younger sisters, Albertina (Tarcizio Ghezzi) and Marisa (Vittorio Caron), she is predeceased by her brothers, Steno Rossanese (Rosa), her brother Giuseppe Rossanese (Rachelle), and younger sister, Maria Antonia (Bruce Mathews). She was the beloved daughter of the late Demetrio Rossanese and Giulia Simioni. She was a caring Zia to many nieces and nephews and a great friend to all who knew her. Rosanna and her late husband moved to Ottawa, Canada from Italy in 1966 where she raised her son and lived until 2018. She worked at St Anthony’s soccer club alongside her brother Steno and sister Tina. She loved her family above all things and enjoyed celebrating all the milestones with each of her siblings, nieces, and nephews. After the death of her husband, she lived with her son and daughter-in-law and in 2018 moved with them to Keene, Ontario. She was the proud Nonna of her fur grand dog, Mia. She loved knitting, crocheting, and entertaining friends and family. She only ever wanted others to be happy, which in turn made her the happiest. Her family and friends will forever cherish her beautiful life. A special thank you to St Elizabeth’s palliative team in Peterborough, for the amazing help they gave to care for her in her final days at home.
