Obituary of Ruth French French, Ruth (nee Drover) Peacefully after a long battle with pneumonia and pancreatitis, passed away Sunday March 22, 2020 at 8:20 pm. Ruth French of Peterborough, Ontario, formerly from Oshawa in her 79th year. Loving wife of the late Harold W. French Sr. of Bay Roberts, Newfoundland. Ruth leaves behind a lifetime of wonderful memories with her son Harold French Jr. and Diane Goodwin of Peterborough. Cherished grandmother of Kevin and wife Lena Constable of Kingston, Ontario. Meghan French and Ryan Pilkey of Oshawa, Trevor Goodwin and Ashley Roberts, Nate Baldwin and Chris Baldwin all of Peterborough and great grandmother of Michael Stuart-French of Oshawa, Donavan Constable, Preston Drew and Hayden Goodwin of Peterborough. Ruth also leaves behind her loving brother in law Mack and Mabel French of Bay Roberts, NFLD. She leaves her siblings Lorraine Morgan of Georgetown, ON, Rose & Jim Evans of Bay Roberts, Jack & Elaine Drover of WhiteWay, NFLD, Edward & Bev Drover of Athabasca, AB. Ruth had many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Ruth loved all those she met and had a big heart for children and animals. In lieu of flowers Ruth asked that donations could be made to either the Alzheimer's Society, Kidney Foundation or the Palliative Care Unit at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Harold and Diane express great gratitude to 6B nursing staff and SSFC Nursing students as well as 2D Palliative Care Team. A very special Thank you to nurse Heather Wynne for all her hugs, talks and the special care you gave our mom. You are an angel. A Celebration of Life will be held in memory of Ruth in the Summer in Bay Roberts, NFLD where she will be laid to rest with Harold Sr.
