McGREGOR, Stewart Barclay
At Extendicare Lakefield on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer’s, in his 91st year.
Stewart, devoted husband of the late Laurie (nee Nelkenbrecher) for 67 years. Beloved father of Brian (Nancy), Colin (Madeline), Cameron (late Mary), and Don (Joanne). Loving grandfather of Julie (Sean) Cook, Ian (Sara), Melissa (Scott), Megan, Christina, Tommy, and Shelby. Proud great-grandfather of three lovely girls. Dear brother of Roy and the late Les, Gordon, Alex, Jean, Dorothy and Jim. Stewart will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Retired from DeLaval Canada where he enjoyed working for over 25 years. Stewart was a devoted Legionnaire (Lakefield Legion), and a proud Mason (Bancroft Lodge and then Dunlop Lodge, Peterborough). A private family gathering will be held in the spring near his Ottawa Valley origins.
