Obituary of Thomas William Sunley Sunley, Thomas William "Tom" – Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's at Fleming, Peterborough, on Saturday, November 11, 2017. Tom of Peterborough, formerly of Victoria, BC, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, and Durham, England, in his 93rd year. Tom was the beloved husband of the late Hetty Sunley (Powell) and dearest friend of Hazel Crago of Newcastle, ON. Dear father of Ann Spivey (Ken Wood) of Peterborough and grandfather of Simon Spivey (Sherri Owen) of Lakefield, and Neil Spivey (Michelle) of Melbourne, Australia. Proud great grandfather of Max and Nola Spivey of Melbourne, Australia. Brother of the late Leslie Sunley and Jean Maynard. Retired Foreman Carpenter who travelled the world, working in each country and following Ann to Canada to retire in BC. Tom and Hetty loved to travel, attending church in every city they lived. He would stop what he was doing and help anyone in need. Cremation entrusted to Ashburnham Funeral Home. Cremated remains will be taken to England and be placed in the family grave. A heartfelt 'Thank you' to St. Joseph's at Fleming for their patience and kindness over the last year of dad's life, and special thanks to June for her care.
