Obituary of Velma Macfarlane MACFARLANE, Velma Doreen (nee Barnard) - At Centennial Place, Millbrook, with her loving family at her side, on Sunday, March 22, 2015 in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Everett Donald for 60 wonderful years. Loving mother of Kathy (the late Rick Clark) of Markham, Sandra (Donald McLeod) of Peterborough and Richard (Tammy) of Peterborough. Awesome grandmother of Isla Mayve, Lauryn, Abby, Matthew and Rachel. Dear sister of Marilyn (the late Keith McIntyre) of Peterborough. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews, family members and all of Velma's many friends. Pre-deceased by her parents, Charles Henry and Viola Mildred. A service honouring Velma's life will be held at The Keene United Church, 30 North Street, Keene, on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11:00 am. Velma began her life in Dr. Turner's Hospital in Millbrook on May 11, 1931, lived in Otonabee Township for most of her life and returned to Millbrook on December 2011 to Centennial Place. Her family expresses deep gratitude to the staff at Centennial Place. Their comforting contributions ensured Mom had a warm and loving atmosphere in the last precious years of her life.
