Obituary of Wendy Frazer FRAZER, Wendy Patricia (nee McKay)- Peacefully with her family by her side after a valiant two year struggle with cancer, at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit, in her 56th year, on Friday July 10, 2009. Beloved wife of Blake Frazer and dear mother of Nolan. Dear sister of Linda (Doug) Hawker of London and sister-in-law of Heather Frazer of Toronto. Cherished aunt of Jennifer (Mark) Schram of London, Gary Hawker of Toronto, Kathryn Bailey of Toronto and Kevin (Kerri) Bailey of Toronto. Dear daughter of the late Hugh and Ethel (nee Hannam) McKay. Wendy will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her kindness, caring and generosity. She began her life-long mission of caring for others as a Registered Nurse Assistant at Mississauga Hospital, followed by service as a Medical Secretary / Receptionist and volunteer. When Nolan arrived, she became a full time mother, as the family of three lived in Western Canada, then Peterborough. Wendy and family would like to extend personal thanks to the dedicated team of health care professionals who provided treatment and comfort: Doctors Gibson, Kramer and Gillis-Doyle in Peterborough, Dr. Bryson and Jan Giroux in Kingston, and the entire nursing staff at P.R.H.C., Palliative Care Unit. A memorial service to celebrate Wendy's life will be held at WESTDALE UNITED CHURCH, 1509 Sherbrooke Street, Peterborough, on Saturday August 15, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
