Obituary of William Lewis LEWIS, William Anthony, "Tony" of Peterborough, died on September 29, 2015 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Tony was 79 and was born on January 13, 1936 in Toronto, Ontario. He attended the University of Toronto and initially dedicated himself as an educator in our public school system and later through his independently-owned driving school. Tony was a caring and loving gentleman who enjoyed writing, boating and the soothing effect of jazz music. He had a wonderful and unique sense of humour that he loved to share with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his wife Shirley, his two sons, Jim (Wendy) of Waterloo, and Peter (Marta) of Mexico, his daughters Sonia Gentile (Peter) of Kingston, Raelene Twomey (Brian) of Kitchener and his son in law Jim Kenny of Kingston. He has joined his daughter Roxanne Kenny who predeceased him in 2010. Tony was a dedicated grandfather and will be lovingly remembered by Alicia, Jamie, Luke, Alexis, Sam, Rebeca, Jessica and Samantha. A celebration of life will be held at the Ashburnham Funeral Home & Reception Centre (840 Armour Road) on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 1 pm, with visiting one hour prior (noon until 1 pm).
