William Morgan

Obituary of William Morgan Morgan, William Edward Following an automobile accident in Peterborough on April 10, Bill Morgan passed away peacefully at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto on April 17, 2012, in his 87th year. Born in England, he served with the British Army in London during the Blitz and on Malta. He emigrated to Canada and worked for IBM from 1954 until his well-deserved early retirement. Always wanting to be active, he then sold real estate, drove a school bus, worked as a handyman, and volunteered with the Peterborough Theatre Guild and Peterborough's cable television company. His special pride was in providing beautiful camera work for the annual Remembrance Day services. Bill is survived by his wife of almost 59 years, Margaret Marie (nee Rutter) and daughter Cindy Ellen, and her husband Roy Hagman. The family would appreciate memorial donations to the Trent University School of Nursing Bursary, in gratitude to the students at the scene of the accident who rushed to help. http://www.canadahelps.org/CharityProfilePage.aspx?charityID=s33226 As per Bill's wishes, there was no funeral or memorial service.
