<p>GILES: Douglas Norman – Long time employee of General Motors, Class A Mechanic, Lift Truck Repair Supervisor. Born November 9, 1945, died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, in his 66th year. Doug, dear son of Ruth (Nee: Caley) and the late T. Norman Giles (d. 1986). Beloved spouse of Karen Winter and former husband of Carol Giles (Nee. Fraley). Loving father of Christopher Norman (Shauna). Brother of David (Ladine), Donald (Jean), and Ruthie Giles (Tim Jackson). Doug will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Friends are invited to a burial service at Rosemount Memorial Gardens on Friday, February 25th at 1 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at ST. PAUL’S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 120 Murray St. (at Water Street), Peterborough, at 2:30 p.m. Directions to the services, condolences to the family, and donations in memory of Doug to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart &amp; Stroke Foundation may be made at www.CommunityAlternative.ca or by calling the COMMUNITY ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL HOME at 705-742-1875.
